Hi crafty friends!
The latest cardmaking innovation has officially been released by Spellbinders. The BetterPress is a compact and easy solution to at home letterpress. Mine arrived just in time for me to play along during the release period.
I love that you can foil using BetterPress plates with ease. As a Glimmer owner, being able to use these plates with ink and foil is such a cost effective pro. Also, I discovered that you CAN letterpress watercolor paper and get a very similar effect. This will save you on buying cotton paper if you run out of panels.
Overall, I enjoyed the process of creating a letter pressed card. I am hoping that one day stencils accompany some of these plates to make it easier to add color to the designs. Nonetheless, I definitely think it is worth giving a try if the process and look of the finished product piques your interest. I ordered more plates, so be on the lookout for more projects.
Have a look at my unboxing to see the BetterPress in action.
