Hi crafty friends! Scrapbook.com sent me a few of the new Halloween products from the latest Tim Holtz + Sizzix release. So, I am sharing the projects that I created using them. All of these products can be found in the Scrapbook.com store, so head over and grab what you need.
First up we have this simple but cute Halloween card using the Sizzix Layered Dots Die Set. I die cut the layers using the Havest paper pad. The "happy" comes from the Build and Layer Ghost Die Set and the Bold Alpha Die Set was used to make "halloween". All of the black elements are cut from black cardstock and accented with a white gelly roll pen. I thought this was a fun card that would surely brighten someone's day.
Next, we have this Moonlight card using the Moonlight die set. I love the moon and the variation of sizes with both the moon and bats. I wanted to create a night background, so I ink blended Prize Ribbon and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Inks on some black cardstock to give me the night sky effect. I also inked the moon pink, adding variation between the two layers. I die cut the "BOO" and ghost elements using them.
Lastly, I wanted to stray away from the traditional dark colors of Halloween, and use something bright. I embossed an orange sheet of cardstock from the Rainbow paper pad. Using the Tapestry embossing folder, I added Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink to the inside of the folder and ran it through my die cut machine. I found the design to be quite striking. For the words, I accented the bold alphas and then embellished with a bat and small gem.
