Hi crafty friends!
I am back with another pink and yellow card share. I previously created the lemon card below in bold colors and wanted to make a more playful card using the same die set.
So pink lemonade consists of pink and yellow, right? I have been loving the pink and yellow combo lately, so that is what I chose as my color palette. I used Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry oxide inks to watercolor the lemons. I used some leftover inks to achieve the green hues for the leaves.
Keeping the card somewhat simple, I embosses a white card panel using the APR23 EOM from Spellbinders. I then cut a 2.75' x 5.5' card panel in black followed by a 2.5' x 5.25' panel in white. I layered the smaller white panel atop the black panel and then centered this piece on the embossed panel.
I then grabbed played around with placement of the lemons. I altered color, size, and position of each lemon when adhering with foam tape. I heat embossed a sentiment in Alabaster Embossing powder from the Spellbinders stamp set and centered that on the center grouping of lemons. To finish things up I cut down one of the leaf clusters and tucked them around the card attempting to achieve balance. I also added in white flowers from the die set.
There we have it. This card is super cute in my opinion. Perfect for summer and sure to be loved by the recipient. Tell me what you think in the comments. Do you have this die set? If so, pull it out and tag me in whatever you create. I would love to see it!
