Hi crafty friends! I am sharing the December 2022 Card Kit of the Month from Spellbinders called "Love Grows Here." This card kit features beautiful floral imagery paired with bird dies, chipboard frames, and loving sentiments.
I love all of the floral details and soft colors. I initially die cut the birds using the solid cardstock from the kit. Instead of add ing both to one card, I highlighted each bird on separate cards.
The first features a pink bird on a white solid panel that is backed with pink cardstock. I used a sentiment from the stamp set and accented using puffy hearts from the sticker sheet.
I then centered this panel on my card panel with is layered with the colorful heart patterned page from the 6x6 pad.
Next, using my blue bird, I created a split panel using the foiled patterned page and white cardstock. I then cut a small strip of the gold mirror card and added that where the pages join. I adhered my lovebird, and stamped a sentiment below. Again, a puffy heart sticker was added as an embellishment.
My third card features one of the heart chipboard frames. I loved the pattern and initially wanted to make it a shaker, so I adhered acetate to the frame. Changing my mind, I decided to stamp a sentiment and place that behind the acetate to give a window effect. I then layered some of the floral die cuts and made that the focal of my card. I love the pop of yellow the patterned paper offers to the card front.
My final card uses another chipboard frame, which I did make into a shaker using sequins included in the kit. I layered two of the patterned papers to create this interesting card panel. I also used a die cut image and a chipboard sticker as a sentiment.
