Hi friends! Today I am sharing a few projects created with products from the Candy Cane Season collection that was released this month from Hero Arts. As always, if you want the link to something, you can find it at the end of the post.

First is this fun shaker card. I used stamps and embossing powder to create the swipes and splatter of color. I die cut the Candy Cane Season backer into the card and into gold paper as well. I used the letter layer of the die set to create the outline in the gold backer piece. This card is also featured on the Hero Arts Blog, so if you would like the full tutorial, head over there.

This pink and red card features the Candy Cane Toss Up Stencils. The stencils allow you to make thin and thick swirls on your candy canes. I created thin swirls on the background using Cherry ink and White Hero Paste on Bellini cardstock. I stamped and heat embossed elements from the A Little Merri-Mint Stamp & Cut and adhered them to Vellum which was then layered on top of the card base.

The above card uses the the thicker Candy Cane Toss Up Stencils, which is again layered with Cherry ink and White Hero Paste, but on Poppy cardstock this time. I then cut the Candy Cane Season dies out of more Poppy and White cardstock and popped that into the middle.

Finally I used Dandelion, Cotton Candy, Passion Flower and Paradise inks to create this candyland themed card. I heat embossed the stripes with White Detail embossing powder and then created the sentiment. I created a gradient with the inks for the backer and used the same technique as with the shaker card to create the outline.
I hope I have given you a bit of inspiration to apply to your holiday crafting. Please do not hesitate to ask me questions if something is unclear. Also, do not forget to scroll a little further to view the supplies.
Happy Crafting,
Natasha
