Hello Bee-autiful Card -- Let's Create Our Own Patterned Paper

Updated: Jun 20

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today's card is for all of the bee lovers out here! I have become slightly obsessed with all things bee themed, so I decided to have some creative fun and make my own bee-themed paper for the challenge.

The set used are Bee and Daisy and Bugs. Taking the honeycomb and honey jar, I created repeating patterns by stamping using Picked Raspberry Oxide ink on watercolor paper. I then added water and let the colors run. You can see a bit of the process below.

Cutting one of those patterns down using a mini stitched scallop die, I added bees and little words using intensive black ink. I then went in with a white pain marker and added details. I also created another patterned panel just for the card using the bees.

I repetitively stamped them in Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, and Versafine Black Ink. My sentiment is stamped using words from those stamp sets and Alabaster Embossing Powder. I layered solid coordinating cardstock for contrast.

What do you think? Let me know down below.

Happy Crafting,

Natasha
