Clean and Simple Texture Using Embossing Folders

Updated: Jun 22

Hi crafty friends!

Today I sharing two rather clean and simple cards that pack a punch with texture. Not to mention, they are both bright.

White T-shirt with a smiling red apple character printed on it, featuring a green leaf and daisy. The background is black with a camera.

For the card above, I used two panels of the Rainbow Glossy Cardstock and cut then at the same time at an angle using my paper trimmer. I then took opposite pieces of each color and adhered double sided adhesive to the back to hold the pieces together. I then ran this panel through my die cut machine inside of the Lined Circles Embossing Folder from the Modern Botanicals Collection by Dina Wakley. Since the card and texture are already so beautiful, I chose not to adorn the card with anything more than a La Dolce Vita Banners. The banner was also cute from glossy paper.

Folded pink shirt with glittery floral design, green leaves. Beside it, white flowers tied with a pink ribbon on a white background.

I followed the same process for this panel as well. However, I cut this panel down by 1/2 inch on two sides making it 3 3/4" x 5". I used the Lined Corners 3D Embossing Folder from the Modern Botanicals Collection by Dina Wakley to add texture. I wanted another pop of color against the white side, so I used oranges and greenery from the Beyond the Door Etched Dies from the La Dolce Vita Collection. Again I cut a La Dolce Vita Banner into glossy paper and popped that up. I then matted the smaller panel onto an A2 panel of white cardstock.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope I have inspired you to try something new.

Happy Crafting,

Natasha
