Hi crafty friends! Today I am sharing a layered tag.
The tag is covered in fabric washi. I wanted to accentuate the orange and pink hues in the background, so I chose to use those on the butterfly embellishment. I initially heat embossed the butterfly using a beige powder to serve as a base. I then used saltwater taffy embossing glaze along the upper portion of the butterfly and met that with a deeper pink embossing powder to create a gradient.
With that complete, I began layering. I used a mix of die cuts, crochet trim, and flowers to provide dimension. I them used thread, art stones and sequins to further embellish and add texture.
To finish this off, I added a sentiment and splattered white ink. I also added heat to the acetate leaves to create more movement throughout the project.
I hope you enjoyed this project! Please leave a comment below letting me know what you think. Questions are also welcome. If you find inspiration from this project and decide to recreate it, please tag me (IG: @politecreations). I would love to see it!
